Warm Mist Humidifier

or air exchanger alone will solve our problem

i cannot get it to de humidify only / the fan keeps coming on and know its dripping water yet the water level lite has not come on and because it hasnt come on it will not empty as its doesnt think its full! wish i have bought just the the dehumidifier only now

i have terrible allergies and i am always sick. i was thinking about getting an air purifier or a humidifier but im not sure which would be best for me. i have a lot of major electronics in my room and im not sure if the humidifier would interfere with them. also, if i get an air purifier i would like it to be one that you clean the filter because i cant afford to keep buying replacements. does it sacrifice quality to get one with a re-usable filter??

which one would you recommend?
have any other suggestions on what else i could do??

I know that you can’t get sick just from a cold temperature, but my husband claims that he got sick because I keep our bedroom too cool at night. He also claims he gets sick when I run a cool air humidifier in the room. Is he just whining or do I need to turn up the heat?

What is the difference in the benefits of each type of Humidifiers?

Does it do any good to run a warm air mist humidifier on low in a room that is also running air conditioning?

We are going to have a baby so I want one that we can put in the baby’s room after she is born. However, for right now I’d like it in our room b/c I have the air on and a fan on b/c I’m a hot hormonal pregnant lady trying to sleep and my man is freezing and gets a runny nose and sore throat b/c of the air on all night. So should we get cold or warm air? Or should we have one for us and a different one for baby?

is it faulty if it blows freezing cold air all over the room? It’s like an a/c unit on my bedroom floor. What will happen if I plug in my oscillating space heater also?
Why would a Dr. prescribe such a torturous thing? Wouldn’t it be easier to just give some medicine? Like bubble gum flavored liquid codeine? For me, not my sick kid. If I had codeine I couldn’t hear her cough or whine.

My two little girls are sick they’re coughing with a blocked nose will it cause any harm to use both the humidifier and the air conditioner at the same time? Anyine does the same?

prevention is not an option,house is an extremley old bungalow constructed of twenty inch thick walls which act like a sponge

Or would it be better to breathe in steam with a towel over my head?

I want to buy an air purifier bec. my kids cough a lot especially at night, (and our rental has lots of carpets) but also need a humidifier bec. the air here is super dry. I would like to just buy one machine that does both, but need ideas of which ones are really good, and not just a bunch of hype. Also, is price an indicator of quality? Also, if you know of any with an automatic shutoff for the humidifier part, I’d appreciate it, bec. I’m concerned the machine will run out of water overnight and create a fire hazard. Thanks!

I would like to pick up a warm air humidifier for my bed room and living room to help ease the dryness of my home. What I am most concerned with is placing one in my bedroom where I have two computers for work purposes. Personally I do not think I will have any issues but i wanted to make sure before I did add one. Thoughts?

i have alot of damp and condensation in our privately rented flat i have seen a box on ebay which on leaving it in the room can absorb the damp does anyone have any experience of these i dont want to buy one for nothing and i dont want to buy the really expensive ones as its only a rented flat.

i mainly use neroli,lavendar,grapefruit high quality oils diluted in water and then added to humidifier.is this harmful or dangerous to baby pet rats? or will they like it?

The air in my flat gets very dry when i turn on the central heating. any suggestions for how i can counteract this? I have bought an air humidifier but it doesn’t stop the problem during the night.
just to add that it’s freezing here already and it’s not even winter yet. I have a young son and it’s just too cold to turn of the heating at night or open a window.

just an update…I did go to the doc. & got saline drops & child. tylenol…but I was just curious about the humidifier thing. thanks
